The Amenta 2008 n0nhttp://www.myspace.com/theamenta
Finally. Something. 4 years later! A follow up to their crushing industrial death metal debut...
forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=458>Occasus!
These Australians kick major ass.
However, this Teaser of mixed NON clips they have on their myspace...they've taken a definite turn. Change of lead vocalist, unfortunately. The new guy is good, though. They sound quite a bit different, musically, and seemed to have moved a bit closer to the Gigantic Brain sound...which is good, but I did love their debut. We'll have to see and check out the whole album, I guess. I wonder where the old vocalist Cessium 137 is now...
This album has an October 2008 release date.

:salute:
They finally have a new MP3 up on their myspace. I see a bit of a Cryptopsy-ish move here, and definitely a bit of a disappointment. Vocals are not so prolific, and they lost a good chunk of their original sounds, crossing up with bands like Gigantic Brain, Anaal Nathrakh, The End, Hellz Kitchen Show, amongst others. I still don't know where ex-vocalist Cessium 137 has ended up, but hopefully of the splintering of The Amenta, he gets going with something to trump this. I still think NON is good, definitely sounding like a top 25/50 album of the year, but that's fucking disappointing, after Occasus, they easily could've kept that movement going, added a touch here and there, and kinged 2008 hard, or touched Meshuggah. To me, these guys were the foremost of futuristic extreme metal, now they're amongst a pack. What a waste. Fucking band politics, man. Anyways, maybe this MP3 is nothing like the rest of the album..
