This will be the first full show for CP&D in over a year. CP&D's line up of Sylvain Coderre, Mike Fedora, Shawn Peck and Mike Stackhouse are ready to pick up where they left off after last year's unintended hiatus. Writing, rehearsing and re-establishing ourselves as a force to reckoned with. Chaos Panic & Disorder are once again ready to pick at the bones of convention of what heavy music is. Chaos Panic & Disorder Recap (or why CP&D are named what they are): Chaos Panic & Disorder began in the fall of 2003 with Luke Pombiere and Mike Stackhouse jamming some material they had written and deciding they wanted to form a band. In early 2004 Andy Crosby (of Insubordination) joined them when he responded to their 'looking for a bass player' ad. In mid 2004 Mike stumbled upon an old friend Kirk Martin, who had played drums in other bands a few years back. Thus begun the insanity. They named themselves Chaos Panic & Disorder as a self-deprecating shot at their jam schedule - it stuck. The remainder of 2004 was spent writing and rehearsing material, preparing to unload it upon the unsuspecting masses. February 2005 saw the their first show at The Seahorse Tavern with Halifax heroes Mantra and another (then) new band Janus. They recorded and released their initial self titled ep by April; then played as many shows as possible, including appearances at the 2005 Metalfest held at Stage Nine in Halifax, Chupafest in Shubenacadie and shows in Sydney and Riverview New Brunswick. By the end of September the scholastic demands of Andy's time was making it impossible for him to continue. The last show with Andy was September 29th and, before the night was through Mike Fedora (Terratomb) decided he wanted in! They spent the rest of the year getting him up to speed. 2006 looked like it was going to be a banner year. The buzz surrounding the addition of Fedora as bassist was huge. Plans for touring and recording were being finalised, Band merchandise was being sold as fast as it was being made!!. Just days before Fedora's debut, Luke was attacked outside a local bar and had his jaw broken and required surgery. Luke healed quickly and the band resumed playing. The incident had soured Luke on Halifax and he expressed his desire to return home to Ontario. The search for his replacement was on. The choice landed upon one Shawn Peck aka "The Wizard" (Facelift Dirtboys). The last show with Luke was on May 3rd, and he left for Ontario. Shawn made his debut at the 2006 Undergrowth Metalfest in August. November rolled around, and Kirk notified notified the band that he was leaving for Korea,to take a job offer he couldn't refuse. Punk drummer Colleen Britton was recruited to take his place. 2007 started as the calm before the storm... Colleen quickly learned the (new to her) material and debuted at a 5:30AM at the ECMA's 72 hour jam. It was going to be a bright and shining year; then staying true to the band's name, everything went at once: CHAOS: Mike Fedora lost everything but his bass in the fire that consumed The North End Pub & Diner. PANIC: The very same night Shawn Peck was handed the job as Head Chef at The Stonehaven restaurant, which was days away from opening. DISORDER: Colleen started a new job which rendered her unable to commit to the rehearsal and performance schedule. So by March of 2007 everything had come crashing into the ground. Yet again, CP&D was drummerless and dispirited. Rumours of Kirk's return flew, so the band laid low and waited. The rumours proved to be false. November of 2007 the hunt for a drummer started anew. December of 2007 Sylvain Coderre (Black Moor) joined as the newest member, and the circle was complete. Rehearsals begun immediately and Sylvain made his first public appearance with CP&D at the Rocking For Dollars open mic at Reflections Cabaret on February 12th of 2008. CP&D ripped through three more of these open mics in a row just to shake the rust off, and the response was overwhelming. In short, CP&D have been kicked in the nuts before. They have gone down, got kicked while down and kept getting up. This time they are up and doing the kicking. **More About... I'm excited to see these guys live. I've seen Sylvain play with Black Moor, who are also awesome. CP&D's myspace songs have me pumped to see them play.
