Drug-resistant TB at all-time high: WHO Last Updated: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 | 4:35 PM ET CBC News Drug-resistant tuberculosis is on the increase, with highest-ever rates being reported around the world, according to a report published by the World Health Organization. "TB drug resistance needs a frontal assault," said Dr. Mario Raviglione, director of the WHO's Stop TB Department, in a release. "If countries fail to address it aggressively now we will lose this battle." Whoa. I know someone who's a carrier. Until last year I thought this was as little of an issue as polio nowadays. Not so.

Scary stuff. I just hear about TB, but have never known anyone in real life that has had it. Lucky so far! :megaman:

Yeah, I was seeing that guy for a while. But I don't think I have TB. I have no reason to suspect (other than the above).
